We visit Tallahassee often and have the hardest time finding clean eating restaurants. Came across this restaurant and was extremely pleased with the whole presentation. Not only was the food good and fresh, the southern charm and hospitality was an added bonus. We will definitely come here again.

Headed out on vacation from Jacksonville to Austin Texas and decided to stop on the way in Tallahassee to grab a bite of lunch at Hopkins Eatery. We used to live in Talley and it was one of our favorite places for lunch. They have a great selection of piled high specialty sandwiches and every day a couple of home made soups as well. Everything is extra fresh, and really flavorful. We love this place. The people are kind. Parking is easy. Service is fast. My wife had the Turkey and Hummus on Rye! I had the Meatloaf Sammy with a cup of Black Bean Soup. Our food came out quickly. It was yummy. The prices are very fair. Parking is easy right out front. It's not far off the interstate, so it's very easy to get to and jump right back on the interstate. If you're in Tallahassee and looking for a great place to have lunch put Hopkins Eatery on your list.

Pretty neat sandwich shop that has a nice store front with plants! The roast beef sandwich I got was pretty big and full of all of its moist items and beef that was good. By the end of my sandwich my hands were pretty wet, so that means I had a good time. Had a few sips of the sweet tea and it was really refreshing and different from other sweet tea so it was good too!

Beloved local institution. My usual order ("the guac" sandwich) is good good great. Extremely tasty, if a bit sloppy as it generally falls apart. Can't vouch for any of the other food tho. Can't abide all the iceberg in the salads and I fully do not understand the appeal of the (very popular) chicken tetrazzini salad. It's still a place I always take visitors to Tallahassee to, just to see what they think.

Love love Hopkins food, excellent and original. Would appreciate a huge cleaning to remove stickiness from table tops, (especially N. Monroe St.), its becoming a real issue to eat there when less than clean.
